Congratulations Andy Harrison

Have you ever been asked what you were doing ten years ago?
trademarkDM Head of Art, Andy Harrison, would answer that ten years ago, in 2000, it was his first year at trademarkDM.
Back then he started as an Art Director but soon our Managing Director, John Kilgour figured out Andy was someone to keep, thanks to his 100% efficiency.
Ten years later, he is just as handsome as he was back then. We wonder if the process of aging slows down when a person is moving quicker than the speed of light?

Never mind the Brownlows, here’s the Andys!

Thursday night marked our second agency catchup for the year.
The hotly anticipated Andy Awards for this quarter saw Andy “no, the other Andy” Bannister score the Andy for Initiative of the Quarter and Craig Sneddon and Prue Oxford take the gong for Creative of the Quarter.
Sadly, the glitzy tone of the evening took a distinct downward turn when Kylie and Justine’s report on Health Marketing was hijacked by Ian “Hookah” Ross.
Any speaker who exceeded the strict time limit had to down a penalty shot concoction known as a “Green Snowball”. The always law-abiding Craig “CMYK” Sneddon put away several penalty shots, no doubt in preparation for the upcoming World Cup. Interestingly he wasn’t even the speaker at the time.
After the formalities, we wandered off the red carpet for “a few quiet drinks”. The volume level of the drinks crept up slightly as the night wore on, judging by the sore heads around the office today, but that’s a story for another time…

Well, he’s back…
Our Production Manager, David Findlay has returned from his four week hiatus in the Maldives and Bali.
It should have been no surprise to Dave that the crew had plans for his homecoming.
Whether it was covering every inch of his office with posters of handsome men or making up an imaginary new junior creative team that he would have to share his office with (some extra computers, fake personalities, and live jobs on the weekly WIP), there was always something to welcome him back.
The team worked into the night on Friday to make sure his office was nothing like how he had left it.
Multiple rolls of aluminium foil and a few human sized bags of packing peanuts were enough to create the most recent office prank.
We had to do something to get back at him for that speedo incident.
We missed ya Dave!

Happy camping with the YMCA

Last week, our newest suit Meredith Bradly had the pleasure of making the journey to YMCA’s beautiful camp site in Mount Evelyn to take part in a branding workshop with the camp managers.
Armed with a sat nav, iPhone, whereis.com directions, and a melways with pre-marked pages, Meredith managed to find the place ok. Unfortunately for her, there wasn’t enough time to attempt the flying fox or giant swing. She did however enjoy a sampling of YMCA’s famous cupcakes, and together with the camp managers, came up with some great ideas for the future.
